New work space strengthens collaboration at PJM

Last fall brought some exciting changes to our facility in Faarevejle, marking a new chapter for our team. We invited business partners, friends, and families to join us for the grand opening of our new factory space. The expansion of our factory is all about creating an even better workplace for our employees. They’ve embraced the new surroundings, where the additional space has fostered stronger connections and collaboration across the organization.

Bringing teams together to foster collaboration

Around 60 employees have moved into new work spaces thanks to the factory expansion. Previously, our departments were spread out across the facility due to limited space, but now they are brought closer together to improve both communication and teamwork.

This new layout has encouraged employees and teams to engage more easily, making it easier to share knowledge and support each other. Centralizing production has not only brought practical benefits but also strengthened the relationships that are so essential for a positive and open work environment.

Enhanced working conditions and stronger relationships

The expansion has led to improvements in working conditions. Having teams located closer to one another has created a better flow in our work processes and made it easier for employees to access the resources they need.

As Bo Adelgaard, Team Leader for Electrical Assembly puts it:

“In a project-based organization like PJM, it’s important for us to communicate easily and make quick decisions. The new structure has made the communication smoother, and that’s something everyone across the organization has noticed.”

The shorter distances between departments have not just strengthened our everyday collaboration, but they have also given our employees a greater sense of belonging.

A stronger sense of community

Beyond improving work conditions, the expansion has also deepened the sense of community here at PJM. Employees now have more insight into the various projects happening across the company and feel closer and more connected to their colleagues.

Jens Ravn, Team Leader of Front-end Design, shares his experience:

“Our department has moved to new offices where we now share space with the Key Account Managers. This makes communication so much easier when we’re working on service proposals, and it’s brought us closer together.”

The new facilities, including two coffee bars and a lounge area, were designed with conversations and connection in mind. Here, employees can chat about anything—from everyday events to project challenges. These informal conversations often lead to fresh perspectives that can be brought back into their work.

Paw Petersen, GMP and Validation Manager, notes:

“We gather more often at the coffee machines now, and I’ve seen new ideas spark from these conversations. The new surroundings make us feel more connected as colleagues, and it’s a great place for generating ideas.”

By creating spaces for relaxed interaction, we have removed some of the formalities from everyday meetings, offering a break from daily tasks and the perfect environment for generating new ideas and perspectives on our services and solutions.

With improvements comes the automation of great ideas. We look forward to exploring how the new work space will bring about new solutions and ideas in the future.
